supporting hard working mezcaleros, one sip at a time

The maguey (Spanish for agave, one of the oldest cultivated plants in North America) played a significant spiritual, political, economic and social role in the ancient Aztec empire. The importance of this plant in daily life is still seen in modern day Mexico with the production of mezcal. Just Maguey aims to support hard working mezcaleros and their artisanal spirit through mezcal education and tasting events. Just Maguey is currently doing this is through two event series, Mujeres por el Mezcal (MxM) and Amigos por el Mezcal (AxM). In both, guests are given the opportunity to learn about mezcal culture and taste a wide variety of mezcals while enjoying a Mexican-inspired meal in an intimate setting.  Your experience will be lead by Julia Cuthbertson, a public health professional and budding entrepreneur with extensive life experience in Spain and Latin America, who loves nothing more than bringing curious minds and palates together.
